At Kyabram Veterinary Clinic, we provide extra mural studies for veterinary students throughout Australia. We are a teaching-friendly practice, aiming to give students a wide range of clinical cases so they can develop their skills as clinicians. Students will be actively involved in cases and will be expected to join in clinical discussion. Students are required to present a clinical case during their time with us and are positively encouraged to get involved in our friendly team environment.

We work together with Charles Sturt University (CSU) to provide final year students with a three week specialised dairy rotation.

While most of our students are from CSU, we also invite enthusiastic, hard working students from other universities who have a strong interest in dairy medicine and surgery to apply. Due to a high demand for placements and our affiliation with Charles Sturt University, we recommend students submit your request well in advance as we lock in rotations up to 12 months in advance.

If students require accommodation, we can provide details of our accommodation partner. Alternatively you are welcome to arrange your own accommodation.

Please direct any placement enquiries to Andrew Gooley at, telling us about yourself, and outlining your relevant work experience and your preferred dates to ‘see practice’ with us.
